Our goal is to have a practice that is the best in town and still be personable
enough to cater to the diverse clientele that walk in our doors. Our practice can
offer the latest advances in veterinary medicine with our full in house lab, radiology,
dentistry and surgical facilities, while still offering a more practical and less
expensive approach for people who have that preference. We discuss options with you
to allow an educated decision to be made. We routinely use a network of outside labs
and board-certified radiologists, surgeons, ophthalmologists, dermatologists, etc.
when needed.
The staff at the Animal Clinic of Parker takes great pride in
their work as a team to provide the best quality of care possible.
Monthly staff meetings bring the crew together to discuss new
information and share any ideas that would help improve the clinic.
These meetings often include guest speakers from various fields in
veterinary medicine that talk about the latest technologies, new
medications, emerging diseases, and reviews on anything from
anesthetic monitoring to taking x-rays. This allows us to stay up to
date in veterinary medicine in general and particularly concerns
that are affecting the Denver area. We think it is very important to
give our clients the most current information on preventable
diseases such as Heartworm disease, Leptospirosis, and many other
illnesses so they can make the best decisions to protect their
animals. All of our veterinarians and technicians actively
participate in continuing education seminars on such topics as
dentistry, surgery, and medications. This provides another
opportunity to learn new information and participate in interactive
discussions. We are very proud to say that our entire staff is CPR
certified, for both our patients and their owners.
In veterinary medicine, it is extremely critical to follow many safety
procedures. Each employee is trained in proper restraint, using the
least amount of physical force, but to still ensure the safety of
the staff member, client, and the animal. We have an isolation room
to protect any animal that may have a potentially contagious disease
from spreading it to other animals or humans. Hazardous materials
are posted and labeled throughout the clinic. Our staff works
together to ensure all anesthetics and injectable medications are
triple checked before giving them to our patients. A board certified
veterinary anesthesiologist designed our sedation drug dosage
program. This program specifically calculates anesthetics and
emergency drugs according to the patient’s weight. We also use a
buddy system to decrease the possibility of human error, by
re-checking dosage calculations and matching precisely the amount of
medication administered to the animal.
Our number one concern is quality care for all patients at all times.
Peri-operative care and monitoring is a particularly critical time.
Your pet is constantly monitored from the start of a procedure until
they are finished. A technician remains with your animal after
surgery until they are fully recovered and awake. We always try to
call as soon as they are awake to lessen your concerns and
anticipation. Along with sending detailed home care instructions
with every patient we always call the next day to check up on your
animals and answer any questions. Every hospitalized patient is
assigned his or her own private technician. This ensures that every
medication is administered on time and the nurse keeps the doctor
continuously updated on the progress of that specific patient. A
special bond often forms between the technician and your pet. Our
practice works closely with the local emergency clinic along with
other specialists for those patients that need additional care. We
also work with local animal shelters offering free exams for all
rescued or adopted animals. We believe our quality of care stands
out because of our dedicated staff and their true love for animals.
We hope to see you and your best friend soon!
